SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
• Solution Architecture & Design: Leading discovery, defining blueprints, data models, integration patterns, and governing complex technical decisions.
• Implementation & Technical Delivery: Hands-on Conga CPQ (Apttus) or PROS Smart CPQ configuration, custom Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL), and API integrations.
• Pricing & Revenue Optimization (PROS): Architecting AI-driven pricing models, price tables, segments, deal scoring, and dynamic guidance recommendations.
• Integration Expertise: Building and maintaining robust REST/SOAP API integration patterns between CPQ platforms and major ERP/CRM systems (SAP S/4HANA or Oracle).
• Experience Thresholds: 8+ years of enterprise software implementation experience, 5+ years hands-on with Conga CPQ or PROS Smart CPQ, and 3+ years operating in a Solution/Technical Architect capacity.
• Location Requirement: Candidates must provide current location and confirmation of willingness to work hybrid onsite in St. Paul, MN (relocation required if not local).
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, Conga Certified CPQ Specialist, or PROS Certified Implementation Specialist.
• Quality & Governance: Leading UAT planning, managing technical debt, platform upgrades, and ensuring compliance with data security/privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA).
• Extended Ecosystems: Experience with Zuora, Ironclad CLM, CPQ-to-ERP order management flows, Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), and Agile / SAFe delivery frameworks.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a seasoned, enterprise-level Technical Architect with deep expertise across the Conga CPQ/CLM and PROS Smart CPQ platforms to join a hybrid engagement based out of St. Paul, MN. This individual will lead end-to-end solutioning, architecture design, and technical implementation for complex configure-price-quote and revenue optimization programs. Operating as the primary technical anchor, you will translate corporate commercial strategies into scalable, high-performance CPQ solutions that directly drive margin management and revenue growth.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, blueprint, and own end-to-end cloud architectures using Conga CPQ (Apttus) and PROS Smart CPQ, defining configuration standards and evaluating trade-offs against customization.
• Architect and configure PROS pricing intelligence solutions, establishing AI-driven price optimization algorithms, workflows, dynamic pricing tables, and sales performance dashboards.
• Lead hands-on technical configuration and engineering, developing Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to extend Salesforce-based CPQ behaviors.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact, collaborating with Project Managers to refine technical estimates, mitigate risks, and present technical designs to VP and C-level stakeholders.
• Enforce elite quality assurance and governance, executing code reviews, unit testing frameworks, and data security standards while managing platform upgrade release schedules.
